Dr. Victor W. Rosenfeld is board certified in both neurology and sleep medicine. He attended Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, Georgia. He practices at the neurology location here at SouthCoast Health. Dr. Rosenfeld's interest in becoming a physician came from his father. His father was also a physician and instilled in him a commitment to work hard while helping people. Dr. Rosenfeld specifically chose neurology because it is a challenging field to work in. According to Dr. Rosenfeld, "the nervous system is the most complex system of the body and there can be a multitude of causes for any particular neurologic symptom, which makes my job like that of a detective." Dr. Rosenfeld enjoys trying to figure out what and why things are happening and does his best to alleviate symptoms that his patients are experiencing.

"I am happy using cutting edge experimental medical techniques or holistic and nutritional, whatever works for that particular patient."

Dr. Rosenfeld says the most rewarding part of his job is finding a diagnosis for complex cases that will translate into effective treatment strategies to improve his patients' quality of life. In his spare time, Dr. Rosenfeld enjoys hunting, tennis, spending time with family and friends, and most importantly, getting a good night's sleep!
