If you haven't already, please consider establishing a relationship with a SouthCoast Health primary care physician or pediatrician. Your primary care physician is your most important partner in Total Wellness for Life, the family doctor who considers the complete picture of your health, and the trusted advisor who works most closely with you to develop your plan for better living. Your primary care physician also coordinates your care across out integrated network of dedicated specialists and medical professionals, ensuring you get the right top quality care at the right time, no headaches or hassles.
You don't come to SouthCoast Health looking for old-fashioned "don't ask questions, just do what you're told" medicine. That's no path to Total Wellness for Life, and it's incompatible with our patient-centered philosophy.
We don't want your choice of health insurance to get in the way of receiving SouthCoast Health's top quality care. That's why SouthCoast Health participates with most major insurance carriers. Please bring all of your medical insurance cards with you to each visit. It is ultimately your responsibility to know the benefits provided under your insurance plan. As a courtesy to our patients, we will file insurance claims for those insurances with which we participate. Please remember, any amount not covered by insurance is ultimately the patient's responsibility.
You have more important things to do than sitting around endlessly in a waiting room, scratching your head trying to decipher a confusing bill statement, or being surprised by an unexpected fee. SouthCoast Health's doctors don't want anything getting in the way of providing you with timely, top quality, thorough, and comprehensive care. SouthCoast Health has adopted the following policies in order to create the best possible environment for your journey to Total Wellness for Life.
