Caleigh Straker is a certified physician assistant who provides compassionate, patient-centered cardiovascular care. She earned her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from South University in Savannah after graduating magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, Massachusetts.
During her clinical training, Caleigh completed cardiology rotations at Memorial Health University Physicians Heart Care, where she gained experience in the evaluation and management of patients with heart failure, arrhythmias, valvular heart disease, and other cardiovascular conditions. She also completed an internal medicine rotation at SouthCoast Health, caring for patients with chronic medical conditions and interpreting diagnostic testing to support treatment decisions.
Before becoming a physician assistant, Caleigh worked as a medical assistant at Connecticut Children's Medical Center Primary Care and as a patient care technician at UMass Memorial Medical Center, experiences that strengthened her commitment to providing exceptional patient care. She is certified in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) and is a member of the American Academy of Physician Associates and the Georgia Association of Physician Assistants.
Outside of work, Caleigh enjoys staying active and has a lifelong passion for swimming. As a former NCAA Division I student-athlete, she competed on the varsity swim and dive team at the College of the Holy Cross. She also enjoys giving back to the community through health education and volunteer service.
