SouthCoast Health is proud to once again sponsor the annual United Way Turkey Trot, returning Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 26, 2026, at Daffin Park.

As the event’s title sponsor since its inception in 2009, SouthCoast Health is proud to support a Thanksgiving tradition that brings the community together around fitness, wellness, and giving back.

“This run advocates for total wellness within members of the community, which is something that we’re constantly striving to accomplish,” said John Marrero, SouthCoast Health CEO. “Our mission is to ensure better living for those we can impact, and this United Way Turkey Trot does just that.”

The morning’s festivities begin at 8 a.m. with the Kids-K, a free 0.62-mile race for children 10 and younger that does not require registration. At 8:15 a.m., children ages 3 and under can participate in the 35-yard Diaper Dash. The main event, a four-mile run and walk, begins at 8:30 a.m.

Following the races, participants can gather at Daffin Park for a post-race awards ceremony featuring food, beverages, and recognition for top finishers. Awards will be presented to the top three overall male and female runners, the top three male and female runners in each age group, and participants earning special honors, including largest family and best costume.

Registration is $35 through November 25 at 6 p.m. EST. Register for the United Way Turkey Trot here.

Proceeds from the event support local causes and charities through United Way, which works to strengthen communities with a focus on education, financial stability, and health. Through its programs and partnerships, United Way helps expand opportunities for individuals and families, including access to education and quality health care.

SouthCoast Health is honored to continue supporting this Thanksgiving tradition and its mission to make a positive difference throughout the community. By bringing people together through movement and giving back, the United Way Turkey Trot reflects the importance of building a healthier, stronger community for all.
