Friday, September 4, 2020

On WTOC-TV’s Morning Break, SouthCoast Health nutritionist, Rebekah Laurance shared suggestions on what to pack in your child’s lunch and emphasized the importance of teaching your children healthy eating habits as they head back to the classroom both physically and virtually.

“Because they’re still growing and building bones, it’s important for children to learn healthy eating habits early on,” said Laurance. “Healthy eating helps control their weight and prevents chronic diseases in the future.”

Laurance also suggested developing a daily schedule that keeps your kids focused, active, and eating healthy. Watch her appearance below to learn more tips to encourage healthy eating habits for your student.
