Dr. Blaine Crosland, a pediatrician with SouthCoast Health, recently spoke with WSAV television about protection methods to help cut down the spread of COVID-19 among students this back-to-school season. Dr. Crosland shared that children can easily carry and spread the virus quickly, which is a reversal of what health officials thought earlier in the pandemic. However, returning to in-person learning remains a top priority for pediatricians. She also shared the best way to keep students healthy at school is to wear a mask.
