We are excited to announce that Dr. Akinniran A. Abisogun won the “Best Cardiologist” category in Connect Savannah’s 2023 Best of Savannah Reader's Poll Awards. Also featured in this year's competition were two finalists from SouthCoast Health: Dr. Keith M. Seibert in the “Best Pediatrician” category and Dr. Kristen A. Updegraff for the “Best Primary Care Physician” category. These awards are based on the votes of community members on the best places, people, and things they love in Savannah!

Dr. Abisogun is board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease, Interventional Cardiology, and Adult Comprehensive Echocardiography. He is a registered physician in Vascular Interpretation. He earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in Piscataway, New Jersey and completed his residency at Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University Rhode Island Hospital in Providence, Rhode Island. Dr. Abisogun earned his fellowship in Interventional Cardiology, Cardiovascular Disease at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in Chapel Hill, North Carolina.
